N300 Billion: Potential Presidential Candidate of the APC Linked to Mismanagement of Funds
One of the potential presidential applicants of the All Progressives Congress in front of the 2019 race has been blamed for expanding the obligation profile of a northern state.
Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, yesterday gave reasons why he was at "war" with his ancestor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who he said left N300billion liabilities on suspicion of office in May 2015.
He said such an immense obligation made it practically inconceivable for him to run the undertakings of the state. Ganduje, who talked in Kano stated: "It is on record that a similar move panel that the previous representative and I designated under my agent senator, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar, revealed N300 billion liabilities even while Kwankwaso demanded that he didn't leave any obligation for me."
"But since I felt then that obligation, credit or liabilities were typical thing, I didn't considerably try to discuss it, yet this truly incited Kwankwaso and he began making mad moves against my legislature."
"Notwithstanding when it was clear when we came into office that there was nothing in the coffers for me to pay rates and that incited us to look for advances so we can begin on a decent note."
He said Kwankwaso got down to business saying he never obtained a solitary kobo and that I was attempting to push Kano into obligation, a move that was unmistakably gone for impelling the general population against me.
"However, the legislature under Kwankwaso deserted an enormous obligation while contractual workers were additionally not paid even as we were searching for cash to finish numerous uncompleted undertakings; what do we do, we needed to get to clear the chaos abandoned," Ganduje said.
He said another motivation behind why the previous senator was against him was a direct result of the chairmanship of the decision APC in Kano.
